A Family Affair: Emily & Jackson

A diary entry from our team at Elope Australia

This one had it all — the crew, the giggles, the happy tears, and one seriously grouse four-by-four.

Emily and Jackson brought their people with them, the guys on one side and the girls on the other, and we loved it so much we added on extended coverage just to capture the morning properly. The girls got ready together in their cool little sunnies, champagne flowing, laughter echoing through the room. It was the kind of relaxed, joyful chaos that makes for the best kind of morning. Before the ceremony, we captured a first look between Emily and her dad. He teared up the moment he saw her, that quiet, overwhelmed kind of emotion every father carries for the day his little girl gets married. It’s a moment that never gets old for us, no matter how many times we witness it.

From there, we headed out to Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park for a first look between Emily and Jackson themselves, and the two of them shared a beautiful, quiet moment together with the light shining through around them. We made our way to the Mutitjulu Waterhole, which gave us the most incredible natural backdrop for photos. And in true adventurous style, Emily and Jackson had driven up in this seriously grouse camouflage four-by-four — we couldn’t resist pulling over on the side of the road to capture a few photos with it, a proper memento of their trip up to the Northern Territory.

Their family watched on throughout, dressed to the nines against the red dirt backdrop, soaking in every part of the day. There were plenty of laughs, plenty of tears, and a beautiful ring exchange followed by hugs and kisses all round. And as always, the sky here knew exactly how to finish the show — a soft, ombre wash of purples and blues rolling in as the sun began to fade behind them.

After an incredible photo session in that light, we headed back down to the camel farm to keep the celebrations going.

A truly beautiful day, from start to finish.

Congratulations, Emily and Jackson.

- Shalea, MARRIED AT Portsea Hotel

We had our micro wedding of 40 people through Elope Australia and it was the best decision we could have made! The photographer Brenna, videographer Tea and celebrant Maree all had the most amazing and beautiful energy that made us feel so comfortable.

A highlight of our day is going to get our couples photos taken because it felt so special! The flowers were absolutely stunning and the cake was delicious! Overall I would recommend anyone wanting a less stressful wedding experience should definitely use Elope Australia!
