A Quiet Kind of Beautiful: Rhiannon & Nick

A diary entry from our team at Elope Australia

Some couples arrive with big, bold energy. Rhiannon and Nick were the opposite, quietly spoken, gentle with each other, and honestly, some of the most beautifully put-together family outfits we’ve ever seen out here.

You could tell they’d thought about every detail. Desert neutrals, tonal colours, outfits chosen not just for how they’d look against the outback but for how they’d actually work in it, practical as much as they were gorgeous. Nick finished his look with an Akubra and boots, the two of them dressed like they belonged out here. Their two children stood by their side the whole morning, matching that same soft, earthy palette, looking like the most perfect little family unit against the red sand.

It was a beautiful, understated morning, just the two of them exchanging their vows, with their children close by and their family and friends watching on. There’s something so special about a quiet elopement like this one; nothing overdone, nothing rushed, just a family becoming official in the middle of the desert, surrounded by the people who love them most.

Afterwards, everyone came together to celebrate properly, before we all headed down to the camel farm for a bit of a refresh. Refreshments flowed, the laughter picked up, and it turned into a proper ripper of an afternoon with family and friends soaking up the last of the celebrations together.

A gentle, gorgeous morning, and a beautiful reminder that elopements don’t need to be loud to be unforgettable.

Congratulations, Rhiannon and Nick.

- Shalea, MARRIED AT Portsea Hotel

We had our micro wedding of 40 people through Elope Australia and it was the best decision we could have made! The photographer Brenna, videographer Tea and celebrant Maree all had the most amazing and beautiful energy that made us feel so comfortable.

A highlight of our day is going to get our couples photos taken because it felt so special! The flowers were absolutely stunning and the cake was delicious! Overall I would recommend anyone wanting a less stressful wedding experience should definitely use Elope Australia!
