A Family on the Road: Jackalyne & Jamie
A diary entry from our team at Elope Australia
Jackalyne and Jamie made their way out to Uluru on a proper family road trip. Caravanning across the country from WA with their two little ones in tow, chasing this one big moment together. It wasn’t originally planned this way, we had to postpone their original plans as little Levi put a pause on the wedding plans, surprising his parents with his place in the family earlier than expected.

Jamie’s a truck driver, so a long drive was nothing new to him, though this trip came with a twist he didn’t see coming. He’d lost his voice completely the morning of the wedding so as he whispered his vows to Jackie, It didn’t matter one bit. If anything, it made the whole thing more endearing, watching him push through to get every word out.

Their kids were an absolute delight, Poppy had the cutest little pair of western boots, the sweetest little pink dress to match her brothers shirt. The girls spent a gorgeous morning getting ready our hair and makeup team at our Elope HQ studio (aka room) full of laughter and that lovely, bubbly excitement only a wedding morning brings.

Once we reached the camel farm, our team stepped in to look after the kids so Jackalyne and Jamie could finally have a quiet moment just to themselves, something that hadn’t really been possible on the road with two little ones in the caravan the whole way out. Jamie wore an Akubra to finish his look, and Jackalyne looked stunning in her full white wedding dress, her hair styled with a long, beautiful veil trailing behind her.

With little ones in tow, early nights are non-negotiable, so we wrapped things up and headed back to the resort. The kids were tucked into bed, and Jacqueline and Jamie ended the day the way any tired, happy young family should, with a well-earned takeaway pizza.

A gorgeous, down-to-earth little family celebration, exactly the way they wanted it.
Congratulations, Jacqueline and Jamie.
